Matthew Exercise 2

Now it's Sunday, and it is time for some rest. This is the second exercise we are going to do this weekend. Hopefully your personal mission statements went well yesterday and you got to see a lot of others on facebook as well. Don't feel bad about wanting to revise and change yours. And if you didn't quite get it done yesterday, that's ok, just keep working on it.

Now for today. Our Lives are so busy and we are always running a hundred miles an hour from baseball games to church to work to dinners to school, and it seems we never just stop.

Well today, I'm challenging you to STOP.

Take five minutes and sit in silence.

Don't try to think about anything or even pray about anything. Just sit in silence and listen. I think these five minutes will be good for your soul.

And then after you are silent for five minutes, I want you to dream. I want you to write on a piece of paper five things, they could be either one time things or recurring, that you would love to do to accomplish your mission statement. Just five. Whether they are raise $10,000 for hungry children in Kenya or lead a Bible study for Junior High Boys. I don't know what it could be, but that is the point. Just dream about how God can use you.

Then show this list to someone who can be your accountability partner, like a friend or spouse or parent.
